Laser Genetics ND•3®x50 Long Distance Laser Designator

Laser Genetics ND•3®x50 Long Distance Laser Designator

  1. ND•3®x50 - Long Distance Laser Designator - The Ultimate Alternative to Night Vision
  2. The ND-3® x50 Laser Designator is the latest precision optical lighting instrument from Laser Genetics using advanced green laser technology.
  3. It is equipped with a 50mm lens and the strongest laser that we have ever manufactured for this application.
  4. The patented Rotary Optical Collimator allows full adjustment and control of the beam diameter and intensity to focus light where you need it most.
  5. Rotating the collimator provides a range of illumination, enough to light a trail at night or paint a target up to 500 yards*!
  6. Unmatched source of illumination for night hunting and shooting sports.  If you are spending most of your time or hunting in warmer climates of 40˚ F. and above, we recommend ND-3® x50, ND-5® Laser Illuminator or one of the other standard ND-3 Series laser designators.
  7. However for more extreme and cold temperatures of 40˚ F. and below, we recommend using the ND-3x50 Subzero™, or depending on your needs one of the other Subzero™ models, ND3 SZ or ND3x40 SZ.
  8. Why Green Laser?
  9. Research has proven that green light is the most visible to the human eye and requires the least amount of eye adjustment at night. An eye that has adapted to daytime conditions generally has a maximum sensitivity around 555nm.
  10. Compared to the color red which optical spectrum is around 630 – 650nm our eye is closer to the Green region of the optical spectrum at 510 - 530nm.
  11. Animal eyes are intensely illuminated by green laser light and clearly visible at extended distances when viewed through optics.
  12. For optimum night vision for hunting, pair the ND-3® with a high quality variable power scope having a 40mm or larger objective lens providing maximum light transmission.
  13. The included ND-3® mounting system for 1” tubes provides full adjustment for windage and elevation for scope alignment.
  14. Additional mounts for various mounting options are included.

  20. Laser Technical & Safety Information for Laser Locator User Safety Precautions
  21. The Laser Genetics ND-5™ is not a toy!
  22. It should be used responsibly, and only by adults.
  23. Potential Eye Injury & Interference with Critical Activities
  24. Laser Safety Hazard Warning
  25. This laser locator emits laser light.
  26. Laser light is very bright and can potentially cause injury to the eyes if not used correctly.
  27. Read all operation and safety information prior to use.
  28. NEVER LOOK INTO LASER OR AT BRIGHT REFLECTIONS.
  29. NEVER aim laser locator or its reflection at an aircraft at any distance! This is very dangerous and a serious crime, which is aggressively investigated and prosecuted with penalties of large fines and/or imprisonment!
  30. Illumination of aircraft, vehicles, etc. is DANGEROUS! Do not do it.
  31. LASER LIGHT DO NOT STARE INTO BEAM OR VIEW DIRECTLY WITH OPTICAL INSTRUMENTS (BINOCULARS OR TELESCOPES) CLASS 2M LASER PRODUCT.
  32. • Light from laser locator is very bright! DO NOT aim laser at people, vehicles or animals!
  33. • NEVER look into the output of the laser locator!
  34. • Viewing the laser light or a bright reflection can cause potential eye injury!
  35. • DO NOT allow children to operate laser locator without instruction and close adult supervision.
  36. • Reflections from flat shiny mirror like surfaces can be as hazardous as the beam itself.
  37. • Eye injury is theoretically possible if the laser locator’s source is aimed at people using telescopes, rifle scopes, spotting scopes, binoculars, cameras or any other optical light gathering instruments.
  38. • NEVER aim laser locator near individuals who may interpret your actions as an emergency distress call, unless it is an actual emergency.
  39. • DO NOT remove or damage any safety labels which are present on laser designator.
  40. • DO NOT attempt to disassemble the laser locator; this can lead to hazardous exposure.
  41. • DO NOT attempt any repair or modification, return to factory for all service.
  42. • DO NOT use if lens is cracked or broken.
  43. • No maintenance or service is allowed by the customer. Due to the laser beams low divergence, it makes a small bright spot at very long distances. Aiming a laser at aircraft, watercraft, vehicles, law enforcement officials or other situations where vision and situational awareness are critical, can cause disruptions of safe operation of these craft, cause dangerous situations, and could be a criminal offence.
  44. The laser’s power is quite low, and generally presents a hazard no greater than that of the laser used in a grocery store check-out scanner. The safety rating for both this laser product and grocery store scanners is laser safety “Class 2M”.
  45. The US and international safety standards (IEC 60825-1) under which this product is designed and tested, indicates that Class 2M laser products are safe under the following circumstances:
  46. 1.) If the laser flashes across your eyes, allow yourself to blink and look away. The normal ‘blink reflex’ is quick enough to prevent a hazardous eye exposure. Never stare into the laser beam or reflection.
  47. 2.) Do not view laser directly with optical instruments such as binoculars, telescopes etc. These items collect more light than your bare eye if they look directly into the beam or a bright reflection. This Class of laser will not cause skin burns, nor start fires. The only potential hazard is only to the eyes if instructions for use are not followed. Laser Emission Data & Specifications
