Current Job Vacancies:

Job title: Agricultural Sales Specialist

Hours of Work: 8am - 5.30pm. This is a full-time position including Saturdays and Bank Holidays on a rota basis.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an agricultural retail sales specialist to join our agricultural sales team in store. The successful candidate will work alongside our team of sales advisors, build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers and help to grow key product lines.  With the opportunity for this role to progress into a senior position, the ideal candidate will be driven individual with the desire to succeed and step up in their career.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside a team of internal and external Sales Advisors
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure sales enquiries, quotes and pricing requests are responded to by email and phone in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market trends, products and competitors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry laws and regulations, including health and safety and environmental regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels within the store to ensure staff maintain areas, optimal stock levels and minimise waste.
  • Work with the marketing team to promote products and grow category areas.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates.
  • Open and lock up the store.

Requirements:

  • AMTRA qualification desired but not essential
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail sales, preferably in the agricultural sector.
  • Good knowledge of the farming sector and/or come from a farming background.
  • Strong knowledge of timber and fencing products and services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to take responsibility.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and customer-focused.
  • Resilient and able to manage stressful situations.

Desirable Skills:

  • Degree in Agriculture or related field.
  • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations, such as animal welfare and environmental regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and customer needs.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Full, clean driving licence.

Job title: Garden Machinery Sales Assistant

Hours of Work: Full-time 8am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday, including Saturdays on a rota basis

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service to customers in store, over the phone and via email
  • Assisting customers with their queries and providing expert advice on our range of garden machinery products
  • Booking in job cards, ordering spare parts and arranging the collection and delivery of completed repairs and servicing jobs
  • Taking orders, processing payments and arranging deliveries for customers
  • Maintaining product displays and keeping the showroom tidy and presentable
  • Working closely with the sales team to achieve sales targets and promote the business.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in garden machinery sales is essential.
  • Knowledge of Husqvarna and STIHL products would be an advantage, although training will be provided
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and under pressure
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays on a rota basis.
